Marketing
We are so used to it, we don´t even realise: advertisement reaches every corner of our lives. In the streets, in the public transport, on our clothes, in our digital devices, in the radio, … it is almost impossible not to see advertisements every single day of our existence.
How much do companies spend on marketing?
And where does all that money end up?
You know the answer, right?
Communities
The market (labour and consumption) monopolises our lives to such an extent that we struggle to find the time to do what we really like to do with the people around us: playing sports, painting, reading, talking, building and making stuff, cooking and eating, performing, playing music, growing food, etc.
Panvala´s goal is to bring life back to the communities we are part of
Both together
Panvala´s innovation is simply a web3 replication of what some companies and communities used to do: if a community proves that it has consumed or has received advertising from a certain company, this company will happily fund the community.
Those are Panvala´s stamps, digital certificates on a blockchain (NFT) that prove that someone has “consumed” a specific piece of advertisement. This is exactly the job that Facebook or Google do and Panvala´s goal is to redirect all the marketing expenses that these huge corporations get, towards communities like Njombe Innovation Academy (and any community in the world!!).
Our Panvala experience
Over a year ago, we at Njombe Innovation Academy (NIA) joined Panvala. We didn´t fully understand how it worked, but we knew of a number of communities we admire that were already members of Panvala and thus, we thought that joining could not harm us.
Up to date NIA has participated in a number of Panvala´s monthly Town Halls and we even presented NIA to all the 60+ communities (at that time); we got funding to organise a screening; we have gotten matching on our Gitcoin and Giveth donations and since some months ago we have been collecting stamps and bringing lots of PAN (Panvala´s token) into our treasury.
This process has been very simple and Panvala´s fellows have always been there to answer our questions and to support us. In fact we have learnt enough to invite other communities to join and one (so far) is already onboard!
In short
If you don´t like watching ads and increasing the balance sheet of the biggest corporations in the world and,
if you are part of a community you would like to spend more time with:
come join us at Panvala and bring life back to your communities through stamps!
Karibuni!
